How it works
Submit your details here and we’ll match you to one of our professionally trained coaches. Check out our coaches here.

You’ll receive an email with your coach’s details, as well as how you can prepare for your 1-hour online session.
We ask that you arrange a quiet location for your session, such as a meeting room or a quiet room at home. Please DO NOT speak to your coach from a cafe or busy public place, or while walking.
CLIMATE PRACTITIONERS! SIGN UP FOR A FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP
Learn how to influence others by overcoming resistance and building better relationships
Working in and around climate change as an environmentalist, activist, internal champion or sustainability professional and wanting some practical skills to help you influence others and build the kind of relationships that create true collaboration?
We run training courses that help with the relational side of climate action, and during Climate Strike Week we are giving away one of our training modules for free.
Join us for a fun, practical and interactive 90-minute online workshop in which you will be trained live by two of our team, including our Founder, Charly Cox. You will also get the chance to meet colleagues from other organisations facing similar challenges.
About the workshop
Our 90-minute workshop will give you:
The skills to drill down beneath resistance to the values that underpin a person’s unwillingness to act
An understanding of how coaching skills can help you to influence others and build strong relationships that lead to change
The opportunity to reflect on your own resistance and the conditions you need in order to change
An more tangible understanding of the role of values in behaviour change
We don’t like chalk and talk, so our workshops are interactive and practical. This session includes both a live coaching demonstration of how to work with resistance in others, plus the chance to immediately practice the skills during the 90 minutes.
We find that people enjoy meeting peers from other disciplines, and so we bring practitioners together from different sectors and organisations to make the experience all the richer.
How it works
We are running two identical 90 minute workshops, the dates for which are below. You can sign up to both dates, however as they are identical, you will only be invited to one workshop, to allow the maximum number of people to participate. The workshops are held on zoom using video, and so a webcam and a good internet connection are requirements of signing up. We ask that you come to the workshop with a live issue relating to your own or someone else’s resistance to change, to use as a coaching issue on the call.
COACHES! STEP INTO COACHING FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
Take a first, supported step into coaching people around this most important of topics
Wanting to get into your own action on climate change?
Keen to try out coaching in this area with some support and alongside colleagues who are doing the same?
A working coach with 35+ hours of professional coach training?
A coach who has accrued 50+ hours of paid coaching with clients since training as a coach (or equivalent formally arranged coaching sessions with colleagues if you are an internal coach)?
Are you willing to give some of your time, no strings or fees attached, to help others to find their #climatemojo?
We would love to hear from you!
To act on climate change you don’t need to be an environmentalist, you just need to be a good coach. Many people feel anxious, uncertain and powerless and this is where coaches can use their skills to make a real difference. By creating a non-judgmental space for people to share their fears and views on an agenda that already exists, we can offer a powerful platform for people to reimagine their role in climate action. In solidarity with the Global Climate Strike (20 - 27 September 2019) we are asking you to join us and a growing number of coaches around the world who are offering up their time and skills for FREE to help others find their #climatemojo.
How it works?
We are asking coaches around the world to do as we are during the Climate Strike Week and to give away as many or as few coaching sessions as they are able to that week. Even one coaching session could make a huge difference to someone who is feeling lost and stuck but wanting to act. We cannot match you to your pro bono coachee, though because this is such a current topic, we anticipate that a simple mention on your social media will find you coachees very quickly. We do however want to support you to feel confident and prepared, so...
By taking part in our Climate Strike Week Coachathon you will get:
BEFORE the week, a 90-minute online briefing webinar led and facilitated by the Climate Change Coaches team including our Founder, Charly Cox. The briefing session will give you the space to consider practically how you can use your coaching skills in relation to climate change without the need to fear being attached to an agenda. The briefing will also help you consider the kinds of themes and topics that you might hear from coachees during your pro bono calls, and what to do about them, with a practical demonstration.
Our Coaching Safely guide which provides guidance and recommendations for what to consider when coaching people on climate change
A guide to finding your pro bono clients, including social media marketing materials
AFTER the week, a 90-minute online debriefing webinar led and facilitated by the Climate Change Coaches team including our Founder, Charly Cox. The debrief session will support you in your reflection around your experience after the event, and will be an opportunity for coaches to share and consolidate their learning.
In order to support you and your coachees, we ask that you agree to attend both the online pre-briefing webinar and the debrief webinar as a condition of taking part.
